Hotel Parsenn was built in 1907 as the municipal building for the Davos Dorf district. In the 1920s, it was taken over by the Kinschi family and run as Hotel Scaletta.
In 1935, our grandfather, Hans Fopp, took over the hotel. He soon made a name for it as the “Home of Sporting Champions”. Ski racers, tobogganers and cross-country skiers were regular guests and appreciated the relaxed atmosphere of the “Sporthotel”, where they could come to dinner in casual clothes rather than having to dress in a suit and tie.
Our grandfather Fopp’s exceptional hospitality became legendary, and even today, amusing anecdotes about this remarkable host and entertainer are still told in Davos.
In 1967, our father Jakob Fopp and our mother Ursula Fopp-Morosani took over the hotel as the second generation of the family. Together, they ran it until the year 2000.
Since 2000, Hans and Martina Fopp have been running Hotel Parsenn as the third generation of the family.
To this day, SPORTHOTEL PARSENN proudly preserves its local traditions and radiates that special sense of Swiss warmth and cosiness that guests from all over the world simply love: “It’s so cosy and so full of charm!”
